Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Meteorite (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Meteorite. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on compatible Apple devices for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms. This license does not transfer ownership of the App.

You may not resell, redistribute, or share the App or your license except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

3. Your Content

You own the notes and data you create. Meteorite is local‑first; your content stays on your device unless you enable optional features that sync or export it. We do not access your note content.

4. Pro Features and Payments

Some features of Meteorite require a paid Pro license. Pro is a one‑time purchase that unlocks Pro features for the version of the app available at the time of purchase.

The App may offer additional features, services, or plans in the future, which may be subject to different pricing or terms.

Pro licenses are distributed via Lemon Squeezy and may be activated on up to three Macs owned or controlled by the license holder.

If the App is offered through other distribution channels in the future (for example, an app store), additional terms or policies may apply to purchases made through those channels.

Refunds are generally not provided. The free version of Meteorite is intended to allow you to evaluate the app before purchasing Pro. In limited circumstances, we may issue a refund to address a technical issue or an error on our side. All payments and any approved refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy and subject to their payment terms and systems.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Redistribute, resell, or share your license with others.
• Use the App for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to bypass or circumvent license restrictions.

You are responsible for complying with applicable laws when using the App.

6. Optional Services and Third Parties

We may offer optional features or services that extend the App’s functionality. Such features may be subject to additional terms or the policies of third‑party providers. You will always have the choice whether to enable them.

The App may also rely on third‑party services for payments, platform functionality, or links to external websites. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

7. Updates and Availability

We may update the App to improve performance, add features, or address security issues. We do not guarantee that any feature will remain available. The App may depend on system services or third‑party platforms we do not control.

We may change the scope or frequency of updates at our discretion.

8. Feedback

If you share feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

We do our best to keep the App running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that it will be error‑free or compatible with all systems.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meteorite and its creators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues arising from your use of the App.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meteorite and its creators from any claims or liabilities arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
